Saturday kitchen

Yesterday I wasn't feeling 100% and the weather was pretty rubbish so it gave me no intention to go out. So I got my Good Food magazine out and decided to cook myself and my boyfriend Graham a lovely meal. And here
is the result, Massala turkey meat balls ! I have also made scones but they weren't as good as expected so wont be putting a picture of the poor result !
the Massala meat balls are really really easy to make. It was initially Korma but as I only had Massala paste, I thought I would give it a shot. All you need to do is mixing a table spoon of curry paste with the turkey mince (again you can vary the meat) then roll the mixture into balls and fry them until they are brown. Meanwhile on a big sauce pan, fry some finely chopped onions with another table spoon of curry paste and after 10Min or so, add up about 250ml chicken stock and then coconut milk (light if possible) and finally add the meat balls and 5Min later, some cherry tomatoes (cut in halves) and sugar snap beans (mangetout if you cant get them) and voila ! I put too much chicken stock so it was too much sauce in there so it looks more like a soup than anything but still tasted really good though !

Deadmau5

Friday 30th April 2010
Oh my...what a party!

It is so far the best nightI have had this year !

We celebrated my very good friend Lucy's birthday and we had planned ages ago to see Deadmau5 at Brixton Academy so no need to say that we were very excited !

I organised pre drinks in mine which went very well, we were all in very good spirit (the alcohol slightly helped). I made for the first ever time jellies and guess which alcohol I chose...my good old friend Jager !
After (too) many shots, we finally ventured out to the Academy.

We went in fairly quickly thankfully as it was pouring rain and we were all clever enough to not leave anything in the cloakroom to avoid queue. Sadly, we couldnt avoid the queue at the bar and when we finally got our drinks, it was nearly time for the dead mouse to play.

His set was incredible, the whole venue was bouncing around to his excellent tracks.

I managed to not lose anyone which is a first in this venue ! I even bumped into other friends and caught up with everyone.
I was slightly disappointed that he didnt play longer than 1h30 but quality is always better than quantity !
At 3am, we went to Plan B, which is a newly refurbished club on Brixton high road.
Our friend Lizzie Curious and Brett were doing a set in the room downstairs, the music was brilliant and I really really like this venue !

Lucy had the cherry on the top for her birthday, the mouse himself posed for a photo with her!

At 6.30am, we decided to call it a day and stumbled back to my flat.
It went a little bit out of hand when more people decided to join us, I didnt really mind but my flat isnt really big enough for accomodating about 20 people ! You know the house is full when you see people sitting on the floor by the sink in the kitchen !
Well you live and learn, I will certainly not advertise my place again ha ha !
